After much research, I put together an Instructable, entitled Standalone Arduino / ATMega chip on breadboard.

In posting this Instructable, I hoped to help others who were in the same boat as me. After Hack a Day posted it on their website, I had a surge of hits on the Instructable. Before the Hack a Day posting, I had somewhere around 300-400 views on it, but the day it came out (2 days ago), it got over 3000 additional hits.
